Strengthening Community-Level Disaster Preparedness in Climate-Vulnerable Regions
Climate-related disasters disproportionately affect communities with limited access to health facilities, emergency shelters, and transport infrastructure. While national-level risk assessments exist, they lack the granularity needed to inform preparedness planning at the community level.
This RFP seeks proposals for a project that would strengthen CLI's ability to anticipate and prepare for climate-related disasters at the community level, complementing field staff expertise with data-driven approaches and AI tools.
Proposals should address:
- Preparedness assessment — confirm and complement field-level expertise on community vulnerability using data
- Methodology — how data supports and enriches existing assessments
- Use of AI — how AI tools improve efficiency, monitoring, or scalability
- Adaptability — how the approach transfers to other regions
- Relevance and innovation — alignment with objectives and quality of approach
- Data-driven approach — effective use of data to identify needs
- Use of technology — clarity and realism of AI integration
- Feasibility and impact — practicality and potential impact
- Scalability — potential for application in other regions
